Beretta has released the new APX A1 Tactical, which builds on the success of the APX A1 pistol family. The company developed the new APX A1 in collaboration with Special Forces. The result is a pistol with maximum performance and durability. Not to mention the optics and suppressor compatible. The Beretta APX A1 Tactical pistol comes in two-tone Olive Drab and Black. The A1 Tactical offers the same excellent ergonomics of the APX Series, and features an extended beavertail. This grip eliminates the possibility of slide bite and provides a secure purchase for the pistol. Interchangeable backstraps let shooters customize the feel of the pistol, while the undercut trigger guard is higher to allow for a middle finger. Both right-handed and left-handed shooters can easily operate the ambidextrous mag release and slide release. A Picatinny rail with three slots is located just forward of the serrated combat trigger. This rail can be used to attach lights or other accessories. A slide with aggressive serrations for the front and rear cocking is mounted on top of the frame. The slide is equipped with blacked out suppressor height sights to co-witness with the optic you choose. The sights have a 6.3 inch sight radius to increase accuracy. The slide houses a 4.8″ 1/2″-28 barrel that can be used with suppressors and other muzzle devices. The 9mm rounds are fired downrange by a combination of a striker-fired action and an enhanced trigger pull. The three magazines included with the APX A1 Tactical are used to feed the weapon. “At the NRA Show in 2023, Beretta will introduce the APX A1 Tactical. It features a 1/2-28 threaded bar, black full serrated sights, three 21 round magazines, and an OD green frame. The backstrap is black. The APX A1 Tactical was developed for an Italian SF Unit and is the flagship model in the APX Family,” Nicola Lorenzi said, Pistol product manager. The Beretta A1 Tactical, with a MSRP of $549.00, is available right now. Visit Beretta.com for more information.
