March 6, 2022Sunday gunday: Eye-Catching guns from the IWA Show in Germany. The IWA Outdoor Classics trade fair is currently underway in Nuremberg. Six weeks after SHOT Show in Las Vegas the IWA event is Europe’s largest gathering for the hunting/shooting sports industries. Many new products were unveiled in Germany this week, including many new rifles, pistols and shotguns. We provide quick takes on six guns that were featured at the 2022 IWA Outdoor Classics show. Most of the highlighted firearms were released within the last year. Some guns are older but most likely “new” to American viewers/readers.
This bolt-action bullpup hunting rifle features an “integrated silector”. The rifle’s overall length is just 33.5 inches (85cm) with a barrel of 19.7 inches (50cm). This suppressor is a great feature for hunters. Tec Target Schneider (TTS), states that the Xceed rifle’s ergonomics are excellent and it has low perceived recoil. All major metal parts, even the stainless barrel, are protected by a matte black coating. You can swap the barrel in minutes. Six lugs in two rows lock the barrel into the action liner. There are many calibers and chamberings available. IWA Show Link.Pedersoli Itdah Deluxe (.45 LC plus.410 gauge) This unique, double-barreled handgun was made to reproduce the Auto & Burglar pistol that was manufactured by the Ithaca Company back in the 1920s. This Pedersoli Howdah Deluxe version has rifled barrels and special chambers that allow for interchangeable use of.45 Long Colt cartridges as well as.410 gauge shotshells. The firearm had manual extractors and an automatic safety on its hammers. This unusual pistol is eye-catching and features a case-hardened action with an oil-finished premium walnut stock. The Howdah Deluxe version has dark-finished barrels (high polish), engravings on the action, and the opening lever, as well as a brightly-gold-plated trigger. IWA Show Link.Bergara Ba13 Take-Down RifleThe Bergara Ba13 Take-Down single-shot rifle can easily be carried in a hunter’s bag and assembled quickly and without tools. The BA13 is a great gun to stow away for camping, boat, and truck. There are also composite-stocked versions of the wood-stocked model shown. These include the thumbhole (shown above), standard in black, Wood Camo and Realtree Edge Camo. The USA offers the BA13 in.223 Rem and 6.5 Creedmoor. There are many other chamberings available in Europe. The button-rifled fluted barrels can be made from AISI4041 stainless steel or AISI416 carbon steel. This compact rifle includes iron sights and a mounted Weaver-type rail. IWA Show Link.Pedersoli/71 Lever Action Boarbuster Mark II Lever ActionThe 21st century’s latest version of Pedersoli’s Boarbuster (86/71 MARK II) is a lever gun. The stock features an adjustable comb that allows it to work with an optic, which is a departure from other lever guns. The rifle includes a Weaver/Picatinny scope base, as well as a provision to fit a scope offset above the action (see photo). Pedersoli also offers front and rear iron sights with superluminova technology. This improves sight visibility even in low light conditions. The eye-catching Nebula Rhino revolvers by Chiappa feature unique vivid colors, a blue laminate grip, and the 6 O’clock lower barrel position. The Nebula 60DS was introduced with a 6? barrel in.357 Mag. The Nebula 30DS is now available in.357 Magnum with 3? barrel. The Chiappa Rhino revolver has a lower bore axis than other revolvers. This means that the barrel of the Rhino is directly in line to the shooter’s hand and wrist. This reduces muzzle rise and reduces recoil. The 6? barrel model includes a compensated barrel, a mounted Leupold Red Dot and tall target sights. Both the 5? Both the barrel models 5? und 6? barrel models have front slide serrations and double recoil springs for reduced felt recoil. The trigger stroke is 30% shorter for faster firing rates. These Kahr Gen2 Premium striker-fired pistols will come in 12 models, with four barrel lengths and three calibers, including 9mm,.40 S&W and.45 ACP. IWA Show Link.Pardini FR22 Smallbore 3Position RifleThe new Pardini FR22.22 LR rimfire rifle was optimized for 50 meter 3P shooting events. The modular, adjustable stock and the trigger with a wide range of adjustments are key features. The stock’s innovative design allows shooters to save time transitioning from one shooting position into the next in 3-Position events. One knob can be removed to remove the cheek piece, pistol grip, and butt pad. Pardini says that the FR22 has unique features that give the competitor an advantage during every stage of a match, especially when it comes to time. FR22 components include: Centra Spy rear view, Centra Score front site, Pardini buttplate, wood/ergal hands-rest with internal weight set and external weight set, slim cheekpiece. There are three sizes available for the grip. IWA Show Link BCM Europarms Block RifleThis unique rifle is certainly not new-for-2022. Although it has been around for about a decade, it is still quite remarkable. This rifle was designed by Italy and was intended for F-Class competitions. The barrel block is integrated and allows the action to free-float. This design has been seen on rail guns and 1K benchrest heavy guns. However, it is rare to see one on an F-Class rig. AmmoTerra offers this BCM Europarms rig in a variety of chamberings. You can also choose your barrel length and barrel manufacturer. According to the manufacturer, this system allows for a floating action and eliminates tensions from incorrect tightening. Anodizing can make the stock in any color you like: light grey or anthracite gray, black, army, electric blue, red, bright, or bronze. The conventional two-lug bolt is used for the single-shot action. The barrel block is made up of 8 bolts. It has an exposed hammer, checkered Turkish Walnut stocks, and 20? It can be used as a 20? oder 24? barrel. Fiber Optic front sight on the 20? is included with the XR 410. XR 410 comes with an adjustable rear sight and Fiber Optic front sight on the 20? oder 24? barrels. This unusual rig was manufactured in Turkey by Tugra Silah and distributed in Europe through Francolin Arms. This product is sold in North America as a “LazerArms” product. The triggers are excellent and the accuracy is exceptional. Korth presented a “badass” black heavy barrelled wheelgun, the Super Sport STX Revolver, at IWA Outdoor Classics 2022. This gun features a full-length scope rail with slab sides for use in Bianchi Cup competitions.
