First Look: Sig Sauer P322

Sig Sauer just announced the P322, a.22 LR pistol that is similar to the P365, and comes suppressor- and optics-ready with an increased capacity magazine. There are many reasons to love.22 LR handguns. They are a great choice for training and make excellent suppressor hosts. Sig has taken all three of these benefits with their newly released P322. The Mosquito was Sig’s last.22 LR pistol and it was notorious for having problems feeding and extracting round. The company’s attempt to repair its reputation in rimfire is the P322. The P322 claims improvements in general reliability and is as affordable as a.22 LR pistol should.
The P322 can mount almost any accessory that you might want. The P322 comes with a 1913 rail to mount lights or lasers. It also has a suppressor adaptor for the threaded barrel and a removable rear sight to mount an optic. The standard package includes a front and rear fiber optic sight, so even those who don’t want to use the pistol’s RMSc-pattern footprint can shoot with upgraded sights.

The large magazine capacity of the P322 is another important feature. The P322 makes full use of the available space to make its magazines as large as possible, unlike many rimfire handguns such as the Sig Mosquito. The standard capacity of the P322 is 20 rounds. This gives it a greater capacity than the Glock 44 which uses aftermarket, flush-fitting magazines. The P322 is a great choice for serious plinkers and those who want a.22 LR handgun to protect themselves. The P322’s frame design and ergonomics are very similar to the P365 concealed carry pistol. However, the guns are different. The new rimfire is slightly larger in size than its CCW counterparts and uses an internal single-action only hammer instead of a striker-fired mechanism. The Sig P322 MSRP is $399 and includes two 20-round mags and a magazine loadinger. Target grids and bullseye sizes can be found in MOA. Get Free Targets
