The largest increase in gun ownership in the United States is attributable to African American women

They are a strong advocate for minorities and they oppose gun rights. It turns out that the largest increase in gun ownership is also among the most protected groups in their cultural lexicon: African American women. This presents a unique dilemma. While Democrats claim to be fighting for minorities, their actions often reflect the contrary. We recently reported that violent crime is increasing in Democrat-run municipalities. Numerous reports indicate that this has a negative impact on the African American community. Many are now gun owners for the first time. Democrats have a tough task ahead of them, however, as the statistics show. A report by the NSSF showed that over 33% of first-time buyers were female. 44 percent of retailers also saw an increase in African Americans buying firearms. Another report from 2020 shows that African American women and men saw the greatest increase in firearm sales, increasing 58%. Despite the fact that the increase applies to both men and women, the National African American Gun Association states that women are more popular than men. By a long shot. According to the NAAGA website, only 29% of African American households considered guns positive in 2012. The same survey in 2015 showed a dramatic rise to 59%, where now a majority African-American families view guns as not just a positive but, in many instances, a necessity. Round Table NBC 4 Columbus hosted a roundtable on gun ownership with four African American women. These women come from many walks of life. One is a lawyer, one is a nurse, and one is a principal of a school. Two women answered the question why they joined a gun club. Their answers were concise and mirrored the progun argument. Rosalind Phipps Jones, 42, said, “I wanted to protect myself as an entrepreneur.” I decided to get a gun, as I work late at night. I wanted to protect my self so that I don’t live in fear, but I’m living in awareness.” Alexis Wymer, 34, disagrees with this sentiment. “I lost a cousin due to improper handling of firearms, and he was just a teenager. The same thing caused me to lose a high school friend. It’s something that continues in the Black community.” She concluded by saying, “Be properly informed if your decision is to own a firearm. Understanding the regulations surrounding firearm ownership and handling is key. Ohio approves permitless carry bill. This conversation follows the passage of new Ohio legislation that eliminates the requirement for concealed carry permits. According to another report by NBC 4, “Gov. According to a DeWine’s news release, Mike DeWine signed Monday a bill to eliminate the concealed carry permit requirement for Ohioans 21 years and older who are legally allowed to own and carry firearms in the state. The law will be in effect within 90 days after the governor signs it.” There were mixed reactions to the legislation when DeWine was asked. Alexis echoed the “armed society, a polite one” adage well. “The more people are free to conceal carry the higher the possibility of a pause…to consider: This person could be bringing.” I don’t know the mental state of this person. Do I want to provoke the person in any confrontational way? This gives people the chance to step back and do a mental assessment.” However, the midterm elections are approaching and Democrats continue to show how tone-deaf and dumb they are. Their cities are becoming crime-ridden slums, and they insist on taking guns from law-abiding citizens. Despite the fact that the African American community is statistically more likely to vote Democrat, such actions could prove costly in the midterms.
