We were moved by a post in the Benchrest Shooting and Gunsmithing Facebook Group. Robb W., a proud father, shared how his three generations — son, father, and grandfather — attended a rifle match together. It’s amazing to see three generations at the firing line. To make it even more special, this match was the 10-year old boy’s first match. The young man shot a 240-5X. Father Robb was thrilled with his son’s performance and said, “Proud Dad Day for sure!”
We are happy to see that the young man uses quality ear and eye protection. It is a good habit to establish. The young man used a Cooper Montana Varminter rifle, which is chambered in 6mmBR Norma. This cartridge is the same one that inspired this Editor’s creation of this website. Our original site, 6mmbr.com, was before AccurateShooter.com. There is still great content on that site, including 100 Gun of the Week features. 6mmBR.com was founded 18 years ago. One facebook poster commented: “Keep him shooting. I can tell from experience that he will be the greatest shooting partner you will ever find.” Another reader wisely wrote: “Good for you — Remember that you are the future.”
