Enter to WIN a Gun Friday! IWI’s soon-to-be released Masada Slim Pistol and Caldwell Emax Shadows Pro! Close friends know that I love small knives. They can be used anywhere, and no one will ever look at them sideways when they are pulled out in public. It doesn’t really matter what situation it is, I always have it with my. ZT (Zero tolerance) Knives has created the 0022 in 2019. Zero Tolerance has now upgraded the 0022 to a Factory Special Series 0022CU copper. RELATED STORY Get Zero Tolerance Knives by Using These 3 Hard Use EDC Options. The Zero Tolerance Zero Tolerance Zero Tolerance 0022CU is the smallest knife in the ZT Knives stable. It boasts a 1.8 inch blade length. It is therefore legal in all but the most restrictive jurisdictions. If you live in a restricted state, you should still review your local knife-carry laws. The clip point blade has a sabre grind and a top swedge that runs almost all the way back from the handle. Light jimping is added to the spine to ensure that it remains in place during use. The blade is made of CPM 20CV and will maintain a sharp edge while remaining resistant to corrosion. The 0022CU is not much different from the original 0022 except for the handle material. The original 0022CU had a carbon fiber front handle. The 0022CU has a copper front handle. This makes it a very elegant presentation that will only get better as it patinas. There is a tradeoff. The 0022CU now weighs 2.8 ounces. While the original weighs 1.7 ounces, it is now 2.7 ounces. Although it has an additional ounce, its small size keeps it below 3 ounces. It is still a good carry weight for an EDC knife. The knife’s back handle is still made of titanium, which makes it durable for tough use. The deep finger contours ensure that the knife remains in place while cutting. A KVT ball bearing pivot with a titanium trim rings allows the blade to be opened. The frame lock secures the blade once it is open. The 0022CU can be carried in a tip-up or right-hand configuration with a reversible pocketclip. The pocket clip is a little too low so the knife can be easily retrieved from the pocket. Editor’s Note – The 0022CU Factory Special Series is limited edition and only available at dealers. You can get the street price of $232.00 if you hurry. You can find them at Smoky Mountain Knifeworks or KnifeCenter.com. You’ll want to act quickly as they don’t list how many were released.
