Train Like You Carry With the Holosun EEPS and EEPS Carry Reflex Sights

Many shoot full-size pistols for competition shooting, but prefer to carry concealed compacts. Due to the differences in aiming platforms, this can often require extensive training. Holosun introduced the EPS and the EPS Carry reflex sights. You can have one for training and one to carry, each using the same platform for recognition. RELATED STORY: Holosun’s X2 Series Now Features 3 Red Dots. The EPS (Enclosed Pistol Sight), and EPS Carry are lightweight and strong. Each optic is also IPX8 water- and dust-proof, so you don’t have to worry about the elements. The EPS has a 0.90×0.63 window size and is designed to be used with a full-size pistol. The EPS Carry, however, has a 0.77 x 0.58 window, making it ideal for compact carry pistols. The EPS is lighter at 1.23 ounces and the EPS Carry is lighter at 1.4 ounces. For easy fitment, each optic uses the Holosun K series footprint. The low deck height allows for standard height iron sights. This is a nice feature of both optics. Each optic is parallax-free and offers unlimited eye relief with an aspheric lens. There are eight brightness settings that can be used with night vision compatible brightness, including four that can be used in daylight. Each unit is powered by one CR1620 lithium battery and has Solar Failsafe technology for a long, uninterrupted battery life of 50,000 hours. The Shake Awake technology with last setting recall prevents battery drain. The EPS/EPS Cary has a multi-reticle system that includes 32 MOA circles with 2 MOA dots, 2 MOA dots only, 32 MOA circles only, and 2 MOA dots only. The reticle can travel up to 30 MOA and has a windage/elevation adjustment equal to 1.5 MOA per click. Editor’s note: It is important to train as you live. Some prefer to train with a full-size firearm and others prefer to carry a compact. I am one of these people. When it comes time to range, I prefer shooting my SIGP226, but I also carry my SIGP250 Compact. Even though I don’t have an optic, I do have the exact same sights. This is why I can see clearly regardless of what pistol I am shooting. It is quite expensive to buy two separate optics. However, if you compare the street prices of the two, the cost of the two together would be comparable to one Trijicon. This might not make it easy for everyone, but if you have the right training, it might be worth it. Availability The Holosun EEPS and EPS Carry reflex sight are now available with an MSRP between $435.28 and $458.81. Holosun.com has more information.
