2022 Hornady Precision Hunter Challenge Utah

July 8, 2022 A new discipline has been very successful. The NRL Precision Hunter Challenge is a multi-distance, walking-around shooting course that is similar to PRS/NRL in some ways. However, it is more affordable and more practical due to the limitations on weight and equipment cost. Nearly 150 competitors participated in the 2022 NRL Precision Hunter Challenge match held in Price, Utah on June 24-26, 2022. The event was sponsored by Hornady. Twenty stages were filled with competitors from all over the country. The course of fire consisted 160 rounds and included hiking between stages at North Springs Shooting Complex. The Precision Hunter Challenge had target distances of 200-850 yards and angled shots between 10-10?. There were tree stands and natural terrain obstacles at the North Springs Shooting Complex. Competitors had the task of traversing the terrain to determine their shooting positions. It was a lot like a benchrest match. “The NRL HUNTER Series was created to help new and seasoned hunters learn about their skills, gear, personal limitations, and other hunting techniques. The Hornady Precision Hunter Challenge was a great example of this! Travis Ishida is the President of NRL. “This match was everything we were looking for, with a well-planned course of fire that was both challenging but also fun. The NRL HUNTER Series has seen a significant increase in participation with over half the participants at this match. Verl Dallin (Match Director) said: “With the help from the staff and ROs the Hornady Precision Hunter Match was simply fantastic.” Here are the 2022 Hornady Precision Hunter Challenge winners and divisions:Factory-Kevin Wilkey
