This firearm is perfect for self/home defence as well as the great outdoors. RELATED STORY The Best Hiking Safety Handguns [2022] SIG Sauer P320XTEN Building on the P320 platform, SIG adds XSERIES updates to the pistol to make it ready for the larger caliber. The XSERIES grip module was specifically designed for the 10mm and 45 AUTO calibers. It features the XSERIES deep trigger subcut, extended beavertail and aggressive stippling. The P320-XTEN’s recoil is made easier by the higher grip. The grip module also has a 5-slot Picatinny Rail just ahead of the trigger guard to allow for accessories or lights. The grip has a capacity for 15+1 but is slimmer than a 9mm. Flared magwells allow for quick reloads when you need them most. The Nitron-finished XTEN slide is mounted atop the frame. It has forward and rear cocking serrations for easy manipulation. The XTEN is also available with XRAY3 Night/Day sights. If you prefer, the optic cut can be used with either the ROMEO2 optics or Trijicon RMR optics. The slide contains a 5-inch bull barrel. The slide houses a premium 5-inch bull barrel. Rounds are sent downrange by the striker-fired pistol using the flat XSERIES trigger, which has a 90-degree break. Two 15-round magazines are included with the P320-XTEN. Editor’s note: The 10mm round is very sturdy and suitable for outdoor trekking. The caliber can be used to defend against large predatorial animals.
