Before we get into the topic, let’s acknowledge that those in the gun industry as well as America’s law-abiding owners of guns are grieving these tragedies along with every American. We want these senseless mass killings and acts violence to stop. People who misuse guns for evil purposes pose a grave threat to society and our Second Amendment rights.
You couldn’t avoid the news about these tragedies, truth be told. It’s not surprising that it took so long to find the story about a brave armed woman who stopped another mass murder.
The story of an alpha female, Mariah Lynn, who was carrying a Walther PDP F-Series-9mm 9mm to stop what could have been many deaths and more injuries, is tying in with the cover.
Lawful Gun Owner Saves Graduation Party
About 40 people attended a birthday/graduation party in an apartment complex in West Virginia on May 29th. A man drove recklessly through the party at the height of the event. The party members asked the man to slow down, as children were playing nearby.
The twice-convicted felon fled but quickly returned with a rifle, which was illegal for him to have given his felony status. He began firing into the crowd. A woman at the party pulled out her legally concealed firearm immediately and fatally shot him. The attack was stopped immediately by this woman.
“She’s just a citizen of the community who was carrying a weapon lawfully,” said Lt. Tony Hazelett, Charleston Police Department. “She didn’t run from the threat, she engaged with it and saved many lives,” said Lt. Tony Hazelett of the Charleston Police Department.
Guns Really Save Lives
You’re probably too busy listening to the “mainstream media” to believe that it is rare for citizens to use their firearms to save themselves or others. It’s not just men who do this. A little digging revealed many instances of women arming themselves to protect themselves and others. All this happened in a two-week span in late May and early iunie 2022.
A Texas woman lived in her home with at most one child. A man she knew broke into her house, prompting her shoot him. A few days later, a Maryland female convenience store manager was almost the victim of a carjacking. She pulled her gun and the criminal fled.
Another incident saw a lunatic threaten to kill the occupants in a Houston, Texas apartment. He kicked in the door violently before the woman who lived there shot him.
Florida’s 69-year old grandmother was forced to use her gun after an unhinged man entered her house and refused to leave.
A 74-year old California woman shot and killed a violent attacker on the property. The man was subject to an elder abuse restraining or order. Her gun proved to be more effective than the piece paper.
Fighting for freedom is worth it
All Combat Handgun’s Oct./Sept. I mention this guest editorial. 2022 guest editorial to show that freedom is worth fighting. The protection provided by armed citizens, men and women, must not be stifled by those who call for politicians to “just act something” after every mass killing.
The truth is that the Administrative State, Joe Biden and other politicians, as well as many unelected agency officials, want Americans to believe that more gun legislation will end these killings. However, they are actually using these tragedies to their advantage to get reelected.
Our readers know that the vast majority of gun owners, both men and women, are legal and responsible. A smaller number misuse firearms illegally for criminal purposes.
Biden and other gun-ban politicians must learn to distinguish and carefully target criminals with proposals affecting gun ownership. They should not be directed at those of us who are simply trying to protect our freedoms, our families, and ourselves. –Mark Chesnut
