Gun owners have many benefits from winter weather. Large, heavy coats and shirts can conceal the bulges caused by carrying full-size guns. Smaller guns will disappear completely if they are covered with heavy shirts and coats. Shooters should start thinking about warm-weather concealed carry by April. Most summer clothes don’t offer the best concealment.

Summer Concealed Carry Options
There are many ways to hide a heater during the summer months. However, it takes more thought and commitment. While many people can conceal a gun under a T-shirt, it’s not always possible. Particularly when it comes to full-size pistols.
Some people have to dress up a bit because of work or other commitments. Some people don’t have the right body type to conceal a gun under light shirts. They don’t want to carry it.
All of this does not eliminate options, but limits them. This only means that concealed carry in summertime requires more thought. Summertime concealed carry might mean that you have to change your clothing choices and conceal carry holster options. It is still a good idea, and might be worth it. Here are some options.
Belly bands
Most shooters don’t understand belly bands. Many shooters think the belly is where they have to carry it when they hear the word. These elastic bands are not for that. These elastic bands can be worn anywhere on the torso, and are extremely versatile. This is even more useful when you tuck your shirt in.
Some people push them down to their belt line, which allows for carrying in any position along your waist. This includes the appendix, SOB and strong side. Guns are easy to conceal under any loose-fitting shirt and provide quick access.
Others wrap them around the chest to create a shoulder holster-type carry. This is a good option for those who need to conceal their firearm, but still want to wear a dress shirt. Although it is not the fastest way to get a gun in action, it will keep the gun on the body.

Carry in your pocket
