July 29, 2022SFC Brandon Green is 2022 National Long Range Champion. Mid Tompkins congratulates Green. SFC Brandon Green of U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit added another remarkable achievement in his long and successful shooting career. Green proved that he is one the greatest American marksmen ever, winning all the major Long Range events. Green of USAMU, a three-time National High Power Champion added multiple Long Range wins this summer. SFC Green won the four major “any rifle” trophies at the NRA National Matches held in Camp Atterbury (Indiana). He also won the Tompkins trophy, the overall National Long-range Champion. This feat was unprecedented. We congratulate Brandon for his incredible set of wins. Green was also crowned the Canadian Cup (National Any Rifle Champion), and the Tompkins Trophy, which is the overall National Long-Range Champion. This feat has never been achieved in the history the National Trophies. This is a historic performance by SFCGreen, and a fitting complement of his numerous High Power National Championships. The work is called “Prayer and a Winchester” and was created by L.E. “Gus” Shafer. Middleton W. Tompkins donated the trophy to NRA for Long Range High Power Rifle Competition.
