The Leaked FBI Document raises many questions. Will it affect you?

Lawful gun owners have a deep appreciation for the founding fathers and leaders of our country. They put the vital right to keep and bear arm’s second on their list of priorities when they drafted the Bill of Rights. It has largely stood the test of history. Recently, the U.S. Supreme Court in New York Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen affirmed our right to “bear arms” outside of our home. A newly leaked FBI document raises some questions.

Leaked FBI Document Identifies Domestic Terrorists

However, these days, quoting one of our country’s first leaders can make you a target. You could be considered a domestic terrorist suspect if you post or use a few quotes from Thomas Jefferson, third president of United States.

This is one of the things Project Veritas published in a leaked FBI document. This document explains how agents can identify Militia Violent Extremists.

Project Veritas stated in a news release that the FBI had included symbols, images and phrases as well as events and people that agents should be aware of when trying to identify domestic terrorists.

Many of the items in the document are scary. Particularly because one or more criteria could put you on the suspect’s list. A few entries in the “Common Phrases and References” section of the guide sheet are especially questionable.

How many times have you heard, or even written, the phrases “When tyranny is law, rebellion becomes a duty” or “The tree must be refreshed from time-to-time with the blood of patriots or tyrants?”

These are all things Jefferson said. Amazingly, the use of well-known Jefferson sayings can indicate that you may be an MVE. This makes you a possible suspect in an investigation.

What about the expression “Molon Labe,” which translates to “Come and Take Them”.

According to the FBI document, this is also a no-no. It seems that refusing to surrender arms to a corrupt government, which might one day institute a gun confiscation program, is an unacceptable behavior these days.

Leaked Document Valises History

Is there anyone who has a Gadsden flag? Or a Gadsden sticker on their truck, gun safe, or any other personal property? You could also be subject to investigation if you display imagery from the Revolutionary War. According to the FBI, history is better than history celebrated.

The document also lists the warning sign for expressing an opinion on past government slaughters such as Waco and Ruby Ridge. History is better forgotten, even if it involves the unjust killing of dozens of children, men, and women by the government.

You are not trying hard enough if you have not been placed on the “bad” lists. This last sign of a militia violent extremist might be enough. The guidelines suggest that you should be suspicious of divisive, archaic thoughts such as the Second Amendment.

It is important to note that the FBI included this disclaimer in its introduction to the document:

“The mere use or sharing these symbols should not be taken as evidence of MVE affiliation or presence, nor should it be used as a means of indicating illegal activity. Many people use these symbols for their original meanings or other non-violent purposes.”

This is not a comforting fact, considering the rest of the content on the guide sheet that pointed out many people who have no ties to terrorism and want to have none.
