August 23, 2022 Vihtavuori increases powder production PLUS new load dataWe are happy to confirm that Vihtavuori is still 100% committed to producing powders to handloaders all over the world. Vihtavuori’s production is increasing dramatically, almost double the amount it was three to four years ago. This is great news for handloaders, hunters and competitive shooters. Vihtavuori posted the following message on its Facebook Page on June 28, 2022: We would like to address a market rumor. Some sources [misinformed] have suggested that we plan to withdraw from the consumer-reloading market. This rumor is false. We are not going to stop selling reloading powders and turn our backs towards the reloading community. We will produce almost twice the amount of powder this year than we did 3-4 years ago. This is a huge increase in production.
… In the last two years, global demand for powder has risen tremendously. We know that powder consumption has not increased in many areas where it has doubled. This means that some shooters are buying more powder than they really need, possibly due to rumors such as the one we’re discussing here. We are not going anywhere, so don’t worry! We are still working hard to meet the market demand and will continue to do so for the next 100+ years. Vihtavuori has been busy creating new reloading information.
