Liberty Suppressors Release Leonidas Gen 2

Integrally suppressed AR uppers would be more popular in the U.S. than any other type of suppressor. The barrel length of integrally suppressed AR tops is below 16 inches. This means that owners must register the lowers as SBRs. This allows the barrels to be extended to 16 inches in length, eliminating the need to register the lowers they are mated to as SBRs. The Leonidas Gen 2 Upper is based on the same design. It’s a one-stamp item that features an 8.3-inch chrome lined Criterion barrel (1.7 twist), an 8 inch monocore suppressor (titanium core and tube) and a reflex chamber measuring 5.5 inches. This brings the barrel’s total length to 16.5 inches. This means that the unit will only need one tax stamp and is still 1-inch shorter than the original Leonidas top. Liberty Suppressors claims the new model should be as quiet as the predecessor. The adjustable gas block allows users to tune the unit for reliable cycling with subsonic ammunition. The Leonidas Gen 2 will have a 12.5-inch, railed handguard that allows for mounting lights close enough to the muzzle to not obscure it. However, Liberty Suppressors’ MSRP is $2,295. Prospective buyers can also choose “option A”, which allows them to provide their own upper receiver, gasblock, and handguard. The MSRP for the latter option is $1,174. Both are available now. Target grids and bullseye sizes can be downloaded in MOA. This is a great option for long-range shooting. Enter your email address below.
