DC Project Advocates for Second Amendment Rights In Washington DC

The DC Project has been making a lot of noise for gun rights and making it difficult for gun grabbers. The organization’s message is clear: “gun rights are human right.” This is why it recently returned to Washington DC to meet with Congress. Delegates stressed the importance of the Second Amendment as well as the efforts made by the firearm industry while they were there.

September 13-16, fifty-one delegated from the DC Project, representing forty eight states, traveled to Washington DC. Their purpose? They met with legislators on both sides of the aisle in order to discuss the importance and significance of the Second Amendment.

Many of the delegates shared their personal stories of how they survived violent situations while carrying a firearm. They also spoke out about the importance of firearm education and safety.

Dianna Muller, founder of DC Project, commented that this was her fifth fly-in and it was the most memorable trip she had ever experienced.

Muller said, “We built bridges through sharing our personal and emotionally charged stories of violence, while emphasizing the solutions that the firearms industry is leading in mental health, school security, and firearms education.”

The three-day trip saw more than 135 meetings attended by the delegates. They also made many impressions throughout the city through personal interactions with residents and tourists.

The Congressional Second Amendment Caucus hosted a reception for the delegates during their stay. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R.CO) and Rep. Thomas Massie(R.KY) co-chair the caucus.

The DC Project presented its pillars at the reception and explained how legislators could partner with it. This partnership would protect against attacks on Second Amendment.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-GA, was also present at the reception. She had this to say:

“This organization of women has the potential to change the world. Anti-gun politicians and women have been demanding that Congress remove the rights of law-abiding gun owner’s for years. The DC Project counters their misinformation.

The effort was concluded with a rally at the steps of the United States Supreme Court. It was a fitting place for a rally to support the United States Constitution, and the rights it upholds.

Fighting the Good Fight

The Second Amendment has been a vital part of American life for the past few years. As violent crime rises across the country more and more cases of guns saving lives are being reported.

While mainstream media and gun control groups try to hide this fact, organizations such as the DC Project shine a light on it. The DC Project is doing this by using real-life examples and personal stories. It is difficult to deny someone their personal experience.

The DC Project is an independent group that promotes one universal truth: Gun rights are human rights.
