First Look: Anderson Kiger-9c Compact Polymer Pistol

Anderson Manufacturing just announced its first handgun, a Kiger-9c compact 9mm polymer concealed carry pistol. This pistol is entirely made in America and is a standard polymer-framed striker fire 9mm designed for concealed carry. Anderson describes it as an original frame. It does bear Anderson’s logo but it appears to be identical to the SCT 19 frame by SCT Manufacturing. This is not a problem considering that builders have given these frames generally positive feedback since its release. The frame has aggressive texturing all over, covering everything from grip to trigger guard to thumb and forefinger rests. It has an extended beavertail and an undercut trigger guard. There are also standard Picatinny rails for accessories. The magazine well is also beveled for easier reloading. It is essentially a Gen3 Glock 19 clone. The Kiger-9c is compatible to most Gen3 G19 parts and accessories. This includes magazines. The standard Kiger comes with a standard 15-rounder standard, with a 10-round option for states that have restrictions. Anderson does not specify if the new pistol will work with existing Gen3 Glock 19 holsters. However, UM Tactical offers a Kydex IWB/OWB option for states that have restrictions. The Kiger is our next step in our ongoing commitment to creating exceptional firearms at an affordable cost. We are proud to offer gun owners an Anderson handgun that is both more reliable and more expensive than the real Gen3 Glock 19. The PSA Dagger is a well-known firearm that fills the same niche. It has been available for some time. The MSRP of the standard Dagger is $299, while the PSA offers Dagger variants with threaded barrels or optics-ready slides. On its face, it appears that PSA’s take on the Glock provides more for less than Anderson’s, but time will tell which proves more popular with concealed carriers. For more information, please visit andersonmanufacturing.com.More Concealed Carry Pistols:NEXT STEP: Download Your Free Storm Tactical Printable Target Pack62 Printable MOA Targets with DOT Drills – Rifle Range in YARDSThis impressive target pack from our friends at Storm Tactical contains62 printable targetsfor rifle and handgun range use.
