Light ‘Em up: Holosun P.ID Weaponlight combines form and function

Positive target identification is crucial in low- and no light situations. Blindly shooting at silhouettes in darkness is a great way to accidentally shoot someone you don’t intend to. Weapon lights such as the P.ID Weaponlight series by Holosun are essential for night target identification.

Holosun P.ID Weaponlight Series

The housing is CNC-machined from 7075 anodized aluminum and provides 2000g shock resistance to the P.ID series. Each model is also fully dust- and waterproof with an IP68 rating. You can be sure that your weapon light will withstand all conditions.

Mountable via Picatinny rail the P.ID has interchangeable rail interface keys that optimize button placement. This makes it compatible with many firearm options. The sleek case can also be used with common duty holsters.

The P.ID can be activated by either right- or left-handed operation using an ambidextrous switch. The light has a 60-minute runtime and can be powered by one 18350 flat-top cell. An included magnetic USB charging cable can be used to recharge the battery if it runs low. The battery can be removed so that you can quickly replace it with a nonrechargeable one.

The P.ID will come in four versions:

The P.ID is currently shipping. It features a 1,000-lumen, 23000 candela white light.

P.ID HC will ship in Q1 2023. It features an 800-lumen, 42,000 candela white LED.

The P.ID Plus will be available in Q4 2022. It has a visible green laser and a high-power white LED. You can activate the laser using WL or VIS buttons, or simultaneously with Plus Mode. The activation button for Plus Mode allows the user to fire both a white and green laser.

The P.ID Dual will be available in Q4 2022. It will also include a high-power green laser and white light. It also features an infrared light. It works in the same way as the P.ID Plus, and can use laser only, IR alone, white light only or a combination.
