Who would have thought that Canada and China would lead the charge in telling their dictatorial governments to pound the sand? This was definitely not on my Bingo cards. But here we are. Chinese citizens protest Covid lockdowns and Canada’s law enforcement refuses to enforce the assault-style weapons ban in Canada.
Canada’s Assault-Style Weapons Ban Gets Rejected by Law Enforcement
Canada has now added an amendment to Bill C-21 (below) that bans long guns, semi-auto rifles and shotguns. Now, the two-year amnesty period has ended, and Tyler Shandro, Alberta Justice Minister, is expected to confiscate any remaining firearms. But he refused to accept it.
According to CBC Canada, he stated that Alberta would not accept RCMP officers acting as confiscation agents. He also said that he would protest any provincial-federal agreement governing policing.
He also plans to apply for intervener status in legal cases to have the ban declared unconstitutional.
Now, Shandro is joined by a number of other provinces in refusing to confiscate orders. Breitbart News points to the fact that Alberta is not the only one in this fight.
“New Brunswick, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are not cooperating in the implementation of confiscatory policies. Manitoba is also refusing.”

Kelvin Goertzen (Ministry of Justice in Manitoba), also voiced concerns. Not least because police resources will be used for lawful gun owners. The Ministers of Justice and Public Safety will discuss this issue with the federal government next month.
Breitbart News was informed by him that he would bring his concerns along with those of Saskatchewan and Alberta directly to the federal government next year at meetings of Ministers of Justice or Ministers of Public Safety.

Canada has returned to its anti-gun tactics recently. Canada has added several million semi-auto rifles, shotguns, and other long-gun weapons to its existing ban on “assault rifles.”
According to firearmsrights.ca, the new measure names several long guns that are popular. The models include SKS, Tavor and AR180, Kel-Tec Sub2000 Ruger PC Carbine and Ruger P Carbine, Benelli M4 among others.
C-21 also prohibits “ALL-CENTERFIRE SEMIAUTOMATIC firearms equipped with removable magazines,” firearmsrights.ca reported. This new gun ban adds a staggering level of prohibitions on the already disastrous gun ban of 2020.

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Friday that there will be a ban on approximately 1,500 assault-style weapons. The ban takes effect immediately. Effective Friday, this ban will be in effect.
Canada Bans Assault-Style Weapons
“As of today the market for assault weapons is closed in Canada,” Bill Blair, Public Safety Minister, told cba.ca. “Enough is enough. These firearms can be banned to save lives.
Trudeau announced a 2-year amnesty period for current owners in order to allow them to comply with the ban. According to cbc.ca, the prime minister also stated that legislation would be introduced in the coming months to provide “fair compensation” for current owners. The Canadian Liberal Party promised a buyback program earlier, but it would likely cost taxpayers hundreds and millions of dollars.
However, the definition of “assault-style weapon” remains unclear. According to cbc.ca, Canada does not currently have a legal definition for the term. According to cbc.ca, Canada effectively banned all semi-automatic firearms that could use a larger capacity magazine. It remains to be determined what the actual definition means.
Trudeau stated that the weapons were made for one purpose and only one purpose… to kill as many people as possible in a short time,” reported cbc.ca.
The new legislation is being introduced at a time when the Nova Scotia shooter used illegal weapons to commit his crimes. This led to the recent gun ban. According to cbc.ca, the gunman used a mixture of illegal firearms from both Canadian and U.S sources. This new law would not have stopped the shooting spree.
We knew this was coming. Canada is now following the same predictable pattern. Liberal politicians will try to increase the number of gun laws that fail. Trudeau and the others in power decided to go for it. Canada’s gun ownership took a huge hit today that it may never recover from.
