It seems like a very long time ago that lever-action rifles were first equipped with rails. Although it may seem sacrilegious to many lever-gun enthusiasts, the “space cowboy” trend seems to be gaining momentum. The POF-USA Tombstone is the latest example and most radical departure from traditional design we have seen. It’s a lever action 9mm rifle that feeds off box magazines and yes, it also has plenty of rails. This is a surprising development for Patriot Ordnance Factory, which has been a sole purveyor AR-based firearms. It is less surprising that the POF USA Tombstone is more tactical than traditional. The new lever-action rifle chambered in 9mm, feeds from box magazines (proprietary designed), comes with XS Ghost Sights and weighs only 5.75 pounds (unloaded). The barrel measures 16.5 inches and is threaded 1/2×28. It also has a dual-port muzzle brake. The receiver has a Picatinny Rail for mounting optics. The monolithic 10.5 inch handguard has MLOK slots on both sides and Picatinny Rails on the top or bottom for mounting accessories. The POF USA Tombstone comes with a Magpul SGA-870 nylon stock. However, it can be swapped with any compatible model. Jeremy Selting, Vice President Sales and Marketing at POF USA, stated that the new rifle is representative of what POF USA is all about. Standard variants come with a 20-round magazine, but there is a 10-round option for ban states. The company offers magazines in both capacity and a 35-rounder for $35 each. Target grids and bullseye sizes can be downloaded in MOA. This is a great option for long-range shooting. Enter your email address below.
