February 13, 2023CMP acquires surplus ammunition with sales planned for the coming months
The Civilian Marksmanship Program has recently acquired large quantities of surplus ammunition. CMP customers will soon have access to this surplus ammunition, which will be sold at matches for CMP shooters. CMP personnel are currently assessing and cataloguing the newly-acquired surplus ammunition supply. They will be sold at matches to CMP shooters. All sales will be subject to the guidelines set forth in the Memorandum of Agreement between the Department of the Army (CMP) “The CMP plans on making the ammunition available to our loyal constituents sometime in the spring after surplus ammo has gone through all CMP processing procedures.” Mark Johnson, CMP Chief Operating Officer and Director for Civilian Marksmanship, said. CMP’s mission will be fulfilled by setting purchase limits and restrictions. In the near future, we will provide additional details on surplus sales. CMP E-Store currently offers commercial ammunition sales to qualified individuals. Register for an account or browse the CMP E-Store at https://estore.thecmp.org.
