David Hogg is the poster boy for gun control ignorance, and the left loves him. They are all equally ignorant (or loathe) of the Constitution. David Hogg should continue to take to Twitter to lecture everyone about the Second Amendment. It usually goes exactly as you expect. He just keeps going. David Hogg Second Amendment Twitter Rant – How It Started: Hogg continues his ongoing saga. He claims that Americans don’t have the right to own guns because they are not militias. You don’t have the right to own a gun. You are not a militia. When you talk about your second amendment rights, you are referring to a state’s right to have what is now the national guard. The gun lobby has been pushing the modern interpretation of 2A for decades. He continues the thread by stating that Bruen was one of the most stupid and illogical decisions ever made by SCOTUS. Hogg claims that a law school would give it a F if the decision was submitted as a college paper twenty years ago. Hogg’s SAT score at Harvard was well below the average for the bottom 25%. Hogg might not be the right person to criticize the Supreme Court of the United States’ brain trust. Hogg was not happy with the post and even had to be fact checked. Do you not love it when the left machinations are levied against them! Not only did the official fact check get done, but many Twitter users also posted with thousands of responses. Brandon Herrera’s short and sweet comment is one of my favorites.
“[You are] not the media. You are not an establishment for religion.
The 1A interpretation is a ridiculous fraud that has been promoted for decades by the free-speech lobby.” Most responses simply pointed out the obvious, “The rights of the people.” Gun control advocates never mention this part. TheRealFreedomKat clarifies what the Constitution really is: “Here’s an idea. The 2nd Amendment does not give me rights. It tells the government what they aren’t allowed to interfere with.” Lori Mills stated: “Considering that my state Government places criminal rights above [victims’] rights, my 2nd Amendment right is and will always be mine. “Don’t try to break into my house, don’t threaten me family, and I will leave you alone,” How it’s going: Hogg tweeted a retraction after the backlash. It was. In reality, he has just increased the absurdity of his original tweet. It went about as well as his first tweet. Yes, I support the second amendment. I support the right of your state to have a national Guard as the framers intended. If you want to own a gun, you should be part of the well-regulated militia.– David Hogg (@davidhogg111). February 27, 2023. I believe he is under the impression that the Second Amendment was written by the government to allow them to arm themselves. Hogg has been attending Harvard since Fall 2019. It begs the question: What is Harvard teaching? Is he paying attention in class? Perhaps he should spend more time researching history and less time trying rewrite it. Most people are clear about the purpose of the Second Amendment. According to the Thomas Jefferson Encyclopedia’s, Jefferson didn’t mince words when he wrote the Virginia Constitution’s original drafts. He writes in it: “No freeman shall ever have to be barred the use of arms.” This is clear evidence that he is referring to citizens and shares a striking similarity with “shall not being infringed”. Remember, he was the original framer of Bill of Rights. He is well-versed in its purpose. Gun safety was taught in schools at a time when guns were easy to access. Mass shootings were not common at that time. They are now commonplace, even though guns and strict gun control are not new. Perhaps the problem is coming from another source. No gun ban will solve the problem unless we are willing to do serious introspection as a nation. Cane killed Able by hitting him with a rock. For now, however, Thomas Jefferson said that “I prefer dangerous freedom to peaceful slavery.” Continue Reading Search The post Fail.
