Include these 12 items in your range kit

The shooting season has begun. Prepare yourself before you head out to the range. This means bringing all the gear that you will need to the range. We’ve created a checklist to help you remember the little things you need to pack. You can use a Shell-Holder to check for excessive expansion of cases from hot loads if you don’t own calipers. Extra Earplugs – Always wear ear protection while shooting. Hex Wrench for action screws or Screwdriver — Action screws can become loose over time. Bring the right hex wrenches or screwdrivers with you to the range. You should have a few sizes in your range kit. You should always have several sizes in your range kit. Use small white or dark dots to paste on targets. Water Bottle – You can’t be a good shooter if your body is dehydrated. Bring two quarts of drinking water and keep one bottle on your bench. Transparent (see-through), transparent rulers are best. Rulers can also be used to draw lines on targets. This list is not meant to be exhaustive. You may also want to bring other items. Bring safety glasses and Sharpie pens to mark your targets. We invite our readers add to this list. Plan ahead and pack your essentials before you drive to a range.Tags: Ammunition Storage, Target, Wind Flags, Hex Wrench.
