Tomorrow is the first of August and the start of National Shooting Sports Month. Every August, American shooters gather to celebrate their sport and welcome newcomers. The National Shooting Sports Foundation asks that you bring a new shooter in August to the range to help grow the ranks. This is a great mission — increasing the number of shooters will help preserve our Second Amendment rights. This coast-to-coast event highlights the fun and enjoyment that target shooting brings. Newcomers are welcome to take their first shot, and experienced shooters may invite someone new to a range or help a former shooter rediscover target shooting. This month-long event includes all shooting sports – rifle, pistol, shotgun. Find Shooting Sports Near YouThe NSSF’s ShootingSportsMonth.org website offers a comprehensive, searchable database. You can search by state to find ranges, sales promotions, and events near you. Find matches, clinics and training sessions as well as special sales in the NSSF database of NSSM shooting event.
