Gun Owners of California and Gun Owners of California teamed up to file a lawsuit on September 29th 2023 challenging parts of SB 2, a gun-banner Gavin Newsom’s bill. This unconstitutional law was passed as a response to the Bruen ruling (which ended California’s draconian’may-issue’ policy). California SB 2 as signed by Newsom will:– Create vast “sensitive locations” that are restricted and where concealed carry is prohibited. This includes all private property, unless the owner expressly permits it;Requires 16 hours of training
This lawsuit against SB 2 was filed at the U.S. District Court in California (Central District South). The lawsuit, May et al v. Bonta, specifically targets the “sensitive location” provision of the law. In response to the Bruen ruling, several other anti-gun states enacted similar unconstitutional laws. GOA and GOF have been involved in litigation in a number of these cases.

He wants to repeal the Second Amendment. Unfortunately, his acknowledgement that this was the only way to achieve more gun control didn’t stop him from breaking his oath by signing this law into force.
