Vista Outdoor Announces Ammo, Powder, Primers Price Hikes

Vista Outdoor announced that they will increase the prices of ammunition, primers and powders starting January 1, 2024. Last week, the Minnesota company sent a notice to its commercial customers about the cost increases that will be implemented for all ammunition, primers and powders on January 1, 2024. The price increases are expected to range from one percent up to ten percent with a projected 5% increase for primers. CCI/Federal/Remington .22 LR rimfire ammo will rise 1-5% while rifle ammo goes up 1-7%. Brett Nelson, Vice President of Sales for Sporting Products, said in a letter that due to global events, our suppliers informed us of an unprecedented demand and an anticipated shortage of gunpowder. This has led to a substantial increase in our prices. We must raise our prices to offset these increases. Vista Outdoor Sporting Group entities such as Alliant Powder CCI, Federal Remington Speer and HEVI Shot will be increasing their prices. Right are the projected increases.
