Modern software allows for detailed “cutaway side-views” (see below), and 3D views with 360deg rotating. As you can see, the software can also show X-Ray views of the gun’s interiors. Computer animation can show the entire firing process, from trigger pull to chambering the next round. Rem 700 Cutaway View From Right SideThis article shows some very cool 3-D “Cutaway Views” animations of Remington 700 action – probably the most popular American bolt-action ever designed. Cutaway 3D animation of Rem 700 action — Watch video The Model 700 series bolt-action rifles are manufactured by Remington since 1962. All revolve around the same centerfire action. They are sold with an internal mag depending on the caliber. Some have a floor plate for quick-unloading and others are “blind”. The rifle can be ordered with an optional box magazine. The Model 700 is an evolution of the Remington series 721 and 722, which were introduced in 1949. The Remington 700 has dual forward-facing lugs. It is a manually operated bolt action. The rifle has “Cock On Opening”, which means that the upward rotation of bolt when the rifle opens cocks the firing. A cam mechanism moves the firing pin’s cocking part backward. The bolt face is recessed and fully covers the cartridge base. The extractor is an internal C-clip. The ejector, which is a plunger that is on the bolt face and actuated by coil springs, is an ejector. The bolt is made of three pieces, which are brazed together. The bolt handle is also brazed together. The receiver is made from steel with a round cross-section. This video was created using the interactive encyclopedia World of Guns: Gun Disassembly with 3D rendering. This web-based software lets users see the inner workings on hundreds of different rifles, pistols and shotguns. Everything from a.22 LR Ruger up to a.55-caliber Boys Anti-Tank Rifle is available. Also, there are more than 25,000 parts diagrams. This is an amazing technical resource. SEE MORE HERE.
