SHOT Show 2024 – Day 2 Highlights

The SHOT Show 2024 had a busy day on Wednesday, 1/24/2024. The event featured a major political forum with state Governors, and state Attorneys General. There were many new products on display, including electronic components that were impressive, as well innovative new rifles and pistols. In our summary today, we have two “short” videos by F-Class John. He found a new Caldwell laser chronograph, as well as the impressive new AMP Annealing Machine, the AMP Mark II DB. Scroll down to view those previews. SHOT Show Day 2 RECAPCaldwell VelociRadar, $499, is a new Radar Chronograph that our friend F-Class John discovered. This compact chrono will directly compete with the popular new Garmin Xero X1 Pro, and the new compact Labradar LX. F-Class John also tested out the new and advanced AMP Mark II DB Annealing System. This machine has a digital display that stores cartridge settings and also has an auto-run function. It also includes a case counter. John will be releasing a video of the new machine soon. The third annual Governor’s Forum was the major policy event on SHOT Show Day 2. Seven Governors, mainly from “red states”, were present. They discussed the Second Amendment, and how states can work together to promote the shooting sport industries. Laurence Keane is the Senior Vice President of NSSF. Laurence Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel, served as moderator. In the afternoon, the first ever forum with state Attorneys General was held. Topics covered included how law enforcement officials deal with Second Amendment issues. SHOT Show New Product Center On Level 1 of Venetian EXPO, hundreds of new products were displayed at the New Product Center. The new LongShot Target Cameras Ranger and Ranger+ were among the most scanned new products. We hope to test out the impressive Ranger+, which retails at $399.00, this spring.
