Although reloading parts are still in short supply, there are new sources for affordable rifle bullets in popular calibers. Creedmoor Sports now offers American Bullet Company (ABC), Practice Bullets in.223, 6mm and.308 calibers. These are factory second bullets from a major American manufacturer.
Creedmoor Sports explains how it might make sense to use less expensive bullets during practice, especially for sling-shooters. “We believe that practice is key to winning a competition. ABC Practice Bullets offer a great alternative for competitors who don’t want to use their expensive bullets in practice sessions and can save their best loads for matches. These ABC Practice Bullets can be used to save between 20-30% on the cost of BTHP bullets. These savings mean that you will spend less per round so live-fire practice won’t break your budget.
These bullets are not just for practice in some disciplines. The ABC 6mm bullets are expected to work well in PRS/NRL matches using popular calibers 6mmBR and 6 Dasher, 6 GT as well as 6-6.5×47 Lapua and 6mm Creedmoor.
These ABC Practice Bullets are factory second, but they’re still great to use for training. Creedmoor also offers.22-Caliber (6mm 107gr bullets), 55gr (77gr), and.308 (125gr), 168gr (175gr) practice rounds. All offerings start at $17.80/100 (for the.22 Cal 55gr).
Note: All ABC Practice Bullets can be purchased in 500-ct boxes. Each 500-ct box will contain the same bullets. However, lots can vary from one box to the next.
