Perry By High Power Shooters: Great Performances
Camp Perry set a new record on August 3, 2021. Four new category records were established during the National Trophy Individual Match (see below). The winner of the NTI match was USAMU’s SGT Brandon Muske, who shot a 498-25X to win the Daniel Boone Trophy. The USAMU’s Service Rifle Team won the National Trophy Individual Rifle Match with four wins: SGT Brandon Muske (498-25X) (winner); SSG David Bahten (498-24X) (second); SGT Kade Jackovich (498-23X (3rd); SFC Brandon Green (498-18X 4th).

On Monday, August 2, the President’s 100 Match took place. Major Samuel Freeman (ARNG), won the President’s Trophy with a remarkable 396-19X score. SP4 Luke Rettmer (396-12X), was second by X-count. James Fox scored 792-32X for the President’s 100/NTI aggregate title to win the Alice Bull Trophy. Haley Robinson, the runner-up, was just one point behind with a score of 791-36X.

National Trophy Junior Team Match
On Wednesday, August 4, the National Trophy Junior Team Match was held. It was wonderful to see so many talented young people on the firing line. California Grizzles – Team Leupold shot 992-49X and won the match. The Wisconsin Cheddar team (seconed) and Texas Junior Giraud team came in third. The 979-39X match record of the Grizzlies Team Schilen in 2016 was broken by the Grizzlies Leupold team.
