October 16th 2021 Borescope Review: Teslong WiFi Models and Rigid Models with Video Teslong Borescopes Updating — WiFi and Rigid Rod Versions
Product Report by F Class John

Not more than a few months after the Teslong corded borescope hit the market to massive applause they’ve released a cordless WiFi-enabled corded version as well as a rigid rod model — two new models with important new features/functionality. The value, clarity, and ease-of-use of the Teslong borescope was what impressed me the most when I first reviewed it. SEE REVIEW HERE. The original Teslong was a major breakthrough in the borescope market. The large number of forums that have sprung up since the Teslong launch shows that digital borescopes are finally finding a large and enthusiastic audience. Important: Guys, watch the videos! John does an excellent job demonstrating how to set up and use these Borescopes. WATCH THE VIDEOS! You can’t convey the full extent of their contents with still images. Teslong Rigid Borescope Teslong Wi-Fi Borescope Teslong Standard Borescope NOTE: Teslong Borescopes can be ordered through the Teslong Webstore. Teslong.com is the best place to go if you can’t find what your looking for on Amazon. WiFi Teslong works with SmartPhones, Tablets. Despite all the praise for the original, plug in Teslong borescopes, there was one complaint: it couldn’t be used with small tablets or smartphones. Teslong released a cordless WiFi version of its borescope that can be used with almost any device with a WiFi connection. The new WiFi unit is very popular and costs $75. This is only $25 more than the original plug in version. This WiFi unit works with both iOS (Apple), and Android smartphones, tablets, and tablets. You may want to try a few different apps. Download Teslong’s viewer app, turn on the unit, and connect to the WiFi Teslong in your device settings. Although it takes a few steps to connect each time you will be rewarded with a cordless version that is equally at home and on the range. You can see how the Wifi unit works and how it inspects a barrel and a die. The video explains everything. The WiFi control handle also has a button that allows you to take still images. Important: Some men had difficulty getting the WiFi image to display on smartphones at first, but this was usually due to software configuration issues. You should be able to follow the instructions and be patient. Some older men had to enlist help from a 10-year old grandchild. The WiFi Version is currently out of stock on Amazon as of February 9, 2020. However, it can still be ordered from the Teslong Webstore for $74.99 at $74.99 Teslong’s new rigid rod borescope is now available. This borescope has the lens mounted on the shaft of a rigid metal shaft, a similar configuration to the Hawkeye optical borescope. The new “shafty” Teslong features the same electro-optical connectors, electro-optical sensors and adjustable light as its predecessor. This rigid rig uses a rod instead of a flexible wire. Because you don’t have to fight the cable, using the unit is much simpler with a solid rod. Because the rod does not have the flexible cable spring back, it makes it easier to rotate the unit within the bore. An inch scale is located on the borescope. This allows the user to measure how deep they have gone into the bore and to identify any problems later. The entire unit is packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube. It’s easy to store and will last as long as the unit. Why choose the rigid Teslong? The lack of a tethered cable allows you to rotate your unit inside the barrel more easily. I found that the rigid borescope provided a better view than the corded Teslong. This may be a benefit to some users. Overall, the optical clarity is excellent and the definition is on par with the original unit. General Teslong Borescope User Tips

The new Wifi borescope and Rigid Teslong borescope share basic features with the original corded plug-in Teslong. The mirror is attached to the end of each device. It screws on and has a jam nuts to hold it in place. You can adjust the focal length depending on the caliber. Although they have always been willing to replace them at no cost, there is a waiting period. The inclusion of extras is a nice touch. SUMMARY — Both WiFi Borescopes and Rigid Teslong Borescopes Are Excellent Values

These two units are great additions and Teslong now has two great options. While most people will gravitate towards the WiFi version, there is room for all three models (WiFi Corded Plug in, Rigid Plug In). The corded or rigid version may be more practical for people who don’t need it as often and don’t want the hassle of keeping it charged. WiFi will be more practical for out-of-town matches or range use. Its smaller footprint and ability work with all electronic devices will make it more cost-effective. The best thing about the Borescope is that it will work with any electronic device, no matter what version you choose.
