Mossberg Expands MC2 Families With Optics-Ready MCC2sc

Mossberg’s newest optics-ready microcompact 9mm pistol is the MC2sc. It is a highly-competitive contender in the CCW market. Although the new MC2sc is in this same category, Mossberg has managed to include some features that make it a fresh design worth considering. Both pistols used single-stack magazines with similar capacities. The MC2c was later created in response to the influx high-capacity micro-9s. It had a larger magazine and a larger frame. Despite not being the dominant pistol in the CCW market, both the MC2c and the Sig P365XL were successful. However, the MC2sc is a serious contender. It is a compact pistol that falls between the Sig P365XL and the Springfield Hellcat in terms of size. It also comes with an optics-ready slide, extended magazines, and flush-fit and extended magazines. The MC2sc’s flush-fit mags can hold 11 rounds of ammunition, while the extended can holds 14. This puts it in the same category as the P365XL and Hellcat in terms of capacity. There are a variety of configurations for the Mossberg MC2sc, including an accessory rail and front- and back slide serrations. You can have it with or without a manual crossing-bolt safety. The sights can be either standard white 3-dot sights, or TRUGLO tritium evening sights. The MC2sc comes with an optics-ready slide. This gun’s best feature is the slide. Although most carry pistols of this size will be optics-ready by 2021, the MC2sc’s unique feature is Mossberg’s ability to use standard-height iron sights to achieve complete co-witness. The iron sights can be seen clearly through a red dot’s view window because they are mounted lower than any other pistol. The MC2sc is compatible with a wide range of compatible optics and has a Shield RSMC optic footprint. The MC2sc’s small size, optics-ready capabilities and high capacity are exactly what the modern CCW market needs. As long as there are good holster options, the MC2sc is likely to be a popular choice for carry guns. Standard-sighted versions have an MSRP $556, while the night-sighted version is $662.
