November 6, 2021 – We support Hunters for the Hungry. This program feeds hungry families in the USA. Hunters for the Hungry is a national program that provides meals to all corners of the country. The NRA collaborates closely with state agencies that oversee meat donations. Hunters for the Hungry, which was established in 1991, has provided millions of pounds worth of game meat to food banks, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters across the United States. This program has been in existence for 27 years. In recent years, HFH affiliates have donated 2.1 million pounds of meat per year, providing over 10 million meals. Hunt and help others
Many hunters in America are able harvest more than they can eat, or share their bounty with friends and family. Hunters for the Hungry allows you to share your bounty with those who are in need. All game donated must be legally harvested and field dressed. Please note that each state has its own rules and regulations regarding donations. Before donating, please check with your local drop-off location. Big Horn Armory donates 5% of sales proceeds to Wyoming Hunters for Hunger Program
Big Horn Armory has partnered up with Wyoming Wildlife Federation (WWF), to offer a Pay it Forward H4H program. Five percent (5%) of net sales from Big Horn Armory’s website will go to the WWF’s H4H Program. This is effective from November 1st through 30th, 2021. This donation will offset the processing costs for donated game meat and will be distributed to local food pantries, food banks, and other food services in Wyoming. “Last year, we were able donate $3,000 which was used to process meals to be donated to Wyoming’s food-insecure families. This year, our goal is higher. Big Horn Armory president Greg Buchel stated that Big Horn Armory is excited to once again work with the WWF’s Hunters for the Hungry Program to ensure that more Wyoming residents receive healthy meals.
