First Look: Samson Rapid Precision mounts

Samson Manufacturing just released their first Rapid Precision Mount. It’s lightweight, durable, and can withstand heavy recoil. But long-range glasses enthusiasts know that an optic can only perform its job if it is properly secured to the rifle. Heavy scope mounts are more durable and can withstand abuse in the field than lighter ones. They are more susceptible to being knocked over and losing their zero. Samson Manufacturing’s new Rapid Precision Mounts is light and durable while still being strong and solid. Rapid Precision Mounts are made from 6160-T6 Aluminum and designed to use as little material possible while maintaining their zero under heavy recoil. Samson was able make the mounts lighter by including steel recoil-lugs into cross bolts that help to keep the scope base in place. The Rapid Precision Mounts attach using standard 1913 Picatinny Rail. The ring base also has a threaded insert made of steel to prevent any damage if you wish to change the optic. hex wrench and 1/2? hex wrench and a 1/2?
