VZ Grips: Building A Better Handgun Handle

A good grip on your handgun is the foundation of solid marksmanship. VZ Grips in makes sure this happens regardless of your make or model. A holster manufacturer recently sent me a few holsters to test and asked for my feedback. Although the holsters were made well, the flange extended from the rear of holster to the area where the slide of the handgun was. This is not a problem. It can make wearing a leather holster more comfortable as it can prevent the handgun’s from digging into your torso if you bend or flex. This flange also helps keep your shirt out of the holster when you draw it or holster it. However, the problem with the holsters that I was evaluating was the too-wide flange. It was also significantly wider than the slide of the handgun. The flange of the handgun was too large to be able to get a shooting grip while it was in the holster. A good shooting grip was impossible until the handgun was removed from the holster at least partially. These grips are made from G-10, which is a great grip material. You can establish a shooting grip while the gun is still in its holster so that you can shoot it without having to adjust your grip. This will give you the best control possible over the handgun. For new shooters who might not immediately grasp–pardon the pun–the importance of this, let me explain.Establishing a correct shooting grip–pre-draw–reduces the engagement time, because additional time doesn’t have to be taken to get a good grip, during or after presentation. It allows the shooter to keep the handgun in their hands should they need to grab it. Also, it makes it easier to quickly and comfortably establish a shooting grip even when the gun is fully inserted into the holster. I reached out to the manufacturer to explain the design flaw in the holsters I reviewed. VZ Grip DesignI often overlook the importance of the grip on a handgun. A grip that fits you well will help you shoot better, more comfortably, and with greater precision. I’m not a Glock man. Many assume that I don’t like Glocks because they are plastic or because I am racist when I say this. Glocks don’t fit me well or comfortably. I have carried them on duty for thirteen years and it was enough to make me believe that this is a fact. When I consider a handgun, one of my first considerations is whether it fits me well and is comfortable to shoot. However, this is only true when it is fitted with the Wilson Combat grip module. It is also the reason that most of my serious handguns have had their grips replaced. It’s not that I wanted them to look cool or customize them; it’s because they needed to fit me better. One of my custom Hi Power pistols is a perfect example. I tried many grips on that pistol, trying to find the one that would fit my hand and provide a secure grip. Bill Wilson suggested that I try VZ Grips Pro Slims grips. John VanZyck from VZ was able to send me a set. They look great on my pistol. But, more importantly, they are extremely comfortable and improve my grip security. These little revolvers are known for having uncomfortable grips that are difficult to hold onto, hard to use and not enough to fill the hand. Operator II grips made this revolver comfortable and easy to hold. Operator II grips make this revolver more comfortable and easier to hold. This gives them incredible strength and a lifetime of trouble-free service. They will not rust, oxidize, or become soft or fragile. You can make them look great with different textures. You also need grips that allow you to do this while keeping the gun secure and comfortable. VZ makes grips that fit most semi-autos, revolvers, and even AR-15s. They cost around $75. VZ also offers some very useful accessories. Target grids and bullseye sizes can be found in MOA. Perfect for long-range shooting! Get free targets
