Santa’s Stocking Stuffers For Gun Guys and Gals

Christmas is near, so we have six stocking stuffers for precision shooters. Some of these items are new inventions. These are all useful items that you will use again and again at the range, in your vehicle, or at your loading bench. You can also buy them for yourself after Christmas.
B&T Industries BT62 Determinator — $7.95

The BT62 Determinator acrylic measures groups using laser-cut concentric measuring ring. The Determinator can be placed over the shot group to quickly check group size. Adjust until one circle crosses the center of each of the outer-most holes. This will give you the center-to-center group measurement (1.5′ maximum). Alternativly, you can measure from edge to edge (of farthest shots), and subtract the bullet diameter. Cool tool for gun guys. The supplied lanyard glows in the dark.
Cabela’s Multi-Tool — $6.99

A more versatile tool for this price is hard to find — only $6.99 Multi-functionality is the hallmark of the Cabela multi-tool. The stainless steel frame includes 8 tools: wire-cutting and wire-strippers with bolt grip, wire stripper, knife and Phillips and flat head screwdrivers. It also has a saw, bottle opener and scissors. This handy tool comes in six colors: Red (Orange, Green), Teal, Purple, Silver, and Green). The multitool is protected and carried by a nylon belt sheath.
JKL Precision — LabRadar Pulse Trigger — $35.00

Are you frustrated with missing LabRadar shots? This $35 LabRadar Recoil Trigger will make your life easier. The plug-in device is made by JLK Precision and activates the LabRadar’s inertial pulse. It works with all rifles, from a.22 LR to large magnums. NOTE: Hard bolt manipulation may cause an inertial trigger to read “phantom” occasionally. Surveyor’s tape (for Wind Indicators), $2.69

When you shoot, always be aware of the wind. The Day-Glo Surveyors’ Tape, also known as “Flagging Tape”, is inexpensive at $2.69 per roll. It can be attached to a stake, or target frame and acts as a wind indicator. It will flutter in mild breezes and alert you to velocity and angle shifts. This should be a part of every range kit. MagnetoSpeed — RifleKuhl Barrel Cooling Fan — $54.99

A compact fan can prolong the barrel’s life. The Magnetospeed RifleKuhl in bright red is very effective. The barrel is cooled by the cooling air pushed down by the impeller powered by a battery. The chamber seal increases cooling efficiency and a neodymium magnetic magnet secures the device to your actions. The RifleKuhl comes with a belt clip/pocket clip, and a 50 Micron air filter that can be replaced. Amazon sells the RifleKuhl for $54.99
Amazon — Digital Display Timer With Big Buttons — $10.95

A reliable and easy to read timer is essential if you shoot in a discipline that has time limits or practice firing your strings. This Digital Display Timer is very affordable and has count-up/count-down functions. This unit is only $10.95 on Amazon and features a large button and easy-to-read display. It’s perfect for F-Class, Palma and other matches. The timer comes with both an integrated stand and a strong magnet, so it can be placed conveniently.
