Lens Reducer keeps your eyes focused for better viewing

“Have you ever had trouble calling your shots?” It looked and felt great. You thought it was a 10, but it came out as a wide 9. This could be due to inconsistent eye placement behind optics. Here’s a cheap solution to help keep you in the 10 Ring.” — Creedmoor Sports This is an interesting product. This scope accessory attaches on to the rear (ocular-) lens of a scope. It has a central hole that allows you to get on target quicker and keep your eye centered in the scope. This will eliminate some parallax errors. White Oak invented this scope accessory, which it calls a lens reducer assembly. This scope accessory features a transparent lens that has a chamfer around its center hole. This acts as a ghost-ring and centers your eye in the middle of the optic. The transparent lens gives you a full field view, so you can still see the target numbers and surrounding targets. A Butler Creek lens cap holds the lens in place. White Oak’s unique “ghost rings” design allows for a full field view, so you can still see the surrounding targets and numbers. However, it acts as a ghost-ring to center your eye in the hole. This minimizes parallax effects and helps you call your shots more accurately. Creedmoor Sports currently offers the Lens Reducer Assembly for these three scopes, as well as other scopes that use the same Butler Creek Cover: Konus XTC-30, $34.95, (Butler Creek #18)
Weaver K-4, $34.95, (Butler Creek #09A lens cover)

Vortex PST1-4, $34.95, (Butler Creek #4 lens cover) To install: Simply press the lens in the lens cap until it touches the shoulder. The lens cap will fit snugly, and the hole will be centered. Next, attach the lens cap to your scope as normal. NOTE: Some people may be concerned about the grayish-chamfered ring blocking their vision. Yes and no. Yes and no. The actual image that is visible through the scope is a very small circle of light (“exit pupil”) which will fit perfectly within the small, unobscured circle. If your head is correctly centered, there will not be any obstruction. If your head is out of alignment, however, you will see the gray chamfered area just like you would see the outside of the ghost ring sight.
