Biden Keeps Gun Control Efforts Front and Center during the Holidays

FREE GUN FRIDAY: GIVEAWAY BERETTA AX A1 CARRY + 500ROUNDS OF AMMO Close While he spends most of his time arguing with Americans about vaccines, President Joe Biden continues to support gun control. He even took the time to boast about his “historic efforts in reducing gun violence” during his free time. RELATED STORY: President Joe Biden Continues to Maintain His Gun Control Efforts. Last week, the White House published a lengthy “fact sheet,” which highlighted Biden’s gun control achievements in the first year. The White House stated that the Biden-Harris Administration made more progress in the first year of President Biden’s term than any other Administration in reducing gun violence. “The President is using all the tools at his disposal in order to address the epidemic gun violence our country has faced for far to long–including stepped-up law enforcement efforts, crackingdown on ghost guns and directing historic levels funding to put more cops onto the beat for community-oriented police policing and expanding violence intervention programs.” Biden’s antigun victories have been modest. The document outlines Biden’s desire to see more gun restrictions and bans. Biden wants to see more rights severely curtailed, from his push for “red flag” laws to further targeting AR arms braces. Biden has repeatedly called on Congress to pass “common-sense gun legislation”. In fact, many of the actions he is pushing are direct infringements of the Second Amendment. The following restrictions are specifically mentioned: Violence Against Women Act. While we admire the fight against violence against women, legitimate legislation is needed to address it. It is illegal to use the measure to sneak gun control in, including a “red flag” law that violates law-abiding Americans right to keep and bear arm and due process. That’s exactly what the compromise VAWA measure would do. Assault Weapon Ban Biden is still calling for a law banning certain semi-automatic rifles. This rifle is America’s most-loved. This despite the fact it fires only one shot for each trigger pull. He is not trying to ban semi-auto rifles. The ban was implemented in the United States back in 1980, but it did not have any effect on violent crime. The law was repealed by Congress after ten years. Magazine Capacity Limit Biden, along with other anti-gun politicians, continue to push to ban firearm magazines that contain more than 10 rounds. California continues to fight such a ban, which has proved ineffective. The ban would also apply to magazines that are used with almost all semi-automatic pistols and used for self-defense. Federal/State “Red Flag” Laws Red flag laws sound great in theory. However, nobody has yet to find a way to make one that doesn’t violate the right to due procedure. These proposals, which Biden would like to see implemented federally and in every state possible allow for the confiscation firearms from law-abiding citizens, without due process. Many people don’t even know that such an action is being considered. Repealing the PLCA is the top priority of Biden. To stop big-city mayors suing the firearms industry, the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act has been passed. Anti-gun mayors tried to do the same thing, using litigation to drive gun manufacturers to financial ruin. Biden would like to see the law repealed so that firearms manufacturers can again face the “death of a thousand cuts”. Of course, the document did not mention his nomination of antigunner David Chipman as the head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Most readers are aware that pro-gun advocates, lawmakers, and groups banned together forced Biden to withdraw his terrible nomination. But don’t make any mistake. Biden has big plans to expand our Second Amendment rights. We can keep going long enough to win back large majorities in both the House and Senate next Year if we work hard. This will allow us to continue fighting the president’s anti gun schemes. Sign up for the Personal Defense World newsletter today to stay in the loop!
