January 10, 2022SHOT show 2022 — Notable facts and figuresSHOT show 2022 is a week away. Media Day at the Range will kick off the 2022 event on Monday, January 17, 2022. The indoor event will run Tuesday, 18th, through Friday, 21st. Over 2300 exhibitors will be present from all 50 states as well as 78 countries. This year’s show will be the largest in terms of floor area. SHOT Show will be occupying TWO large exhibition halls in 2022, the Venetian Expo as well as the Caesars Forum. The total exhibit space for 2022 SHOT Show in these two venues is over 800,000 net feet. This is equivalent to approximately 18 acres or 14 football fields. These twin halls make SHOT Show a total of 13.9 miles of aisles. The SHOT Show 2022 will feature 800,000 square feet of Exhibit Space with 13.9 MILES of Aisles. The gun/ammo/hunting sector has a total economic impact of more than $63B, supporting more than 342,000 jobs. The first SHOT Show took place in 1979 in St. Louis (Missouri). Due to the pandemic, the 2021 SHOT Show was virtual. Since 2010, the show has been held in Las Vegas. It is worth noting that the 2008 SHOT Show, which was the largest ever, covered 714,000 square feet at the Las Vegas Convention Center. To fill the excess exhibit space, outdoor tents were needed.
