First Look: Ruger Small Frame Autoloading Rifle

Ruger’s Small-Frame Autoloading Rifle (SFAR) has been launched. This new line of.308/7.62 ARs is chambered for full-size ammunition and are very popular. However, they are heavier and larger than standard 5.56 NATO models. Ruger’s Small-Frame Autoloading Rifle (SFAR) has been introduced to offer shooters a lighter and more compact.308/7.62 AR. The SFARs are available with two barrel lengths. However, the receivers of SFARs are roughly the same size as standard AR-15s. The 16-inch model is only 6.8 pounds unloaded due to its smaller receiver. This model is almost two pounds lighter that the Armalite 16-inch AR-10 model. No matter the barrel length, both barrels can be cold hammer-forged and nitrided. They are threaded 5/8-24. The included wrench allows for manual adjustment of the gas system. There are four settings that can be used to regulate the system’s performance, regardless of whether the rifle has been suppressed, cleaned, or suppressed. The included Boomer muzzle brake (2-port) will further dampen the felt recoil. The rifle-length gas system on the 20-inch model is likely to be even more gentle than the mid-length gas system on the 16-inch model. The 16-inch and 20-inch models are both available now and have an MSRP of $1,229. The 16-inch and the 20-inch models are available now at a MSRP of $1229.
