Ruger’s rimfire variants are particularly impressive. The Super Wrangler is a versatile new addition to the affordable Wrangler line from the mammoth firearms company. It allows more shooters to enjoy the classic SAA. The aluminum-framed wheelgun, modeled after the Single Six of the company, can fire both.22 LR or.22 Winchester Magnum with a flick of the cyclinder. It is priced at a fraction the cost of the original. Ruger also added adjustable rear target sights, a 5.5 inch barrel, and a “Super” modifier to ensure it lived up to the “Super” modifier. SAR.357 SR RevolverSAR USA, best known for its affordable and dang nice hammer and striker-fired pistols has branched out this year. Yup, the Turkish concern is now offering wheelguns in its.357 magnum SR revolver range. SAR’s DA/SA guns are a great choice, and they come at a very competitive price. The gun comes with a 4-inch or 6-inch barrel. It also has a steel alloy frame, slick black finish and ergonomic synthetic finger groove grips. The gun weighs 47 ounces for the 6-inch version and 41 ounces for the 4-inch. The gun is a good choice for concealed carry, but its weight makes it easy to shoot the snappy magnum. MSRP: $549 for the 4-inch barrel and $649 for the 6-inch barrel.CRKT Michael Walker MomentumA stylish gun deserves a stylish knife. CRKT’s Michael Walker line is a great example of this. The Momentum liner lock, based on Walker’s favorite custom designs and made to the highest standards, is christened after his favorite custom creations. They are made in Italy by the renowned knifemaker LionSteel. They are a perfect combination of artistry and functionality, made with materials that look great but also perform. One version features a Bohler M390 steel blade and teal titanium handle with a turquoise scale pattern. The other features a Rose Damasteel Blade complemented by a more subdued dark grey titanium handle with a white dragon scale inlay. MSRP: Bohler Blade $250, Damasteel Blade $550Diamondback Birdshead sidekickPerhaps Diamondback’s most unique project in recent years was expanding into rimfire revolvers. The Sidekick was introduced in 2022 as an affordable.22 LR/.22 Magnum option for DA/SA wheelguns. This year, the gunmaker expanded its Sidekick line to include a small bird-shead variant. The rounded grip is more comfortable for most shooters and offers better control from shot to shot. Diamondback has also shortened the barrel to 3 inches from its original version. This might make the revolver a good option for concealed carrying. It’ll be a lot of fun to shoot at the range, even if it doesn’t. MSRP: $327Safariland SafariVault duty HolsterSafariland is the leading manufacturer of duty holsters, and its new SafariVault line will take the concept to a whole new level. The line’s re-engineered body is the strongest on the market. It can withstand 300 pounds and is rated between -50F and 150F. The hangers, which are available in Level IV retention and feature the company’s ALS (Automatic Locking System) or SLS (Self Locking System), are virtually impervious to a gun-grab. The holster can be used with muzzle devices, weapon lights (due to its open-muzzle style), and red-dot sight (both open and closed emitter designs). The holsters are also equipped with a magnetic slide guide that helps with holstering. They also feature an auto-tension device which eliminates rattle, and an ALS release mechanism that is more easily accessible. Crossbreed’s LDS 2.0 Ohai modular holster allows you to carry your firearm in a backpack, purse, or other tote. The hanger is the next generation of the original Ohai. It features the tried and true Crossbreed Kydex and leather construction. The system also includes a hook and loop backing that allows it to be integrated seamlessly into many off-the-body techniques. It’s not just luggage with backers. There are also options that attach under a desk, in a car, or in other convenient places. It is modular and interchangeable with different makes and models. It can also be used with various lights and laser sights.
