October 29th, 2021 2021 Precision Rifle EXPO Georgia This Weekend The Precision Rifle EXPO returns this year. It will be held at the Arena Training Facility, Blakely, Georgia, October 30-31, 2021. The two-day event has attracted over 800 people in past years. Manufacturers will display their products, including optics, reloading equipment and stocks, as well as electronics and supporting equipment (bags or tripods), rifles and triggers, suppressors and many other items. Training sessions will be held on precision handloading and wind reading, marksmanship and ballistic devices. Precision rifle enthusiasts can meet with top rifle manufacturers, rifle instructors, tactical competitors, and other experts at the event. Praslick Wind Reading Class at the 2021 Precision Expo
Emil Praslick, a wind wizard, will be leading a class on wind reading this year. Praslick is a world-renowned authority on wind reading. Praslick, a former USAMU Head Coach, has represented the USA in international long range shooting for more than 20 years. He has also developed training strategies for tactical and competitive shooting. Praslick’s wind-reading class will provide insight into the mechanism of wind drift and its effect on bullet trajectory, techniques to recognize and determine wind speed and direction, as well as strategies for wind management and target engagement. The classes will be held on Saturday at 10 am and 2pm, and Sunday at 10:30 am and 1pm. Praslick stated that the Precision Rifle Expo is an excellent opportunity for both the industry and the general public to meet and discuss the latest developments in precision shooting. It is unique in that the organizers provide instructional content for attendees. I am looking forward to sharing my techniques and strategies with people and giving them some tips on shooting in the wind. Arena Training Facility — 2300 Acres
Arena Training Facility, covering 2300 acres, is a premier shooting facility that offers multiple shooting ranges ranging from 50m up to 2100m. Arena’s 1000-yard covered Known Distance range has multiple benches, steel and paper targets that extend to 1000 yards. Arena’s UKD (unknown Distance) range allows shooters to engage steel up to 2300 yards. The 2100m UKD range features a 3-Story Shooting Tower and an Air-Conditioned Shot House. There are also multiple Positional Challenge stations. The Arena Training Facility is centrally located in the Southeastern USA, approximately two hours from Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport.
