Open to all ages. A closed-circuit video of 2019 has been trending on social media. The video shows a man getting out of his car and approaching a woman, who then shoots him. This video is not new and it’s not what it seems. However, it shows how gun rights can strengthen women’s rights. The video shows a car entering the security footage and stopping as a young woman walks down the street. A man approaches the woman and reaches out to her immediately after the car has stopped. It is difficult to see if he is reaching out for her purse or her wallet from the video. It is evident that his intentions were malicious. The would-be robber/abductor was not aware that the woman he was targeting was carrying a concealed gun. The woman pulls back as he approaches and draws her pistol. She then shoots the center of mass, instantly releasing the assailant. He chose an off-duty Military Police Officer, as luck would have it. The video is all that is known about it. It has been making rounds on social networks, sparking new conversations including in a Reddit thread: Gun Rights are Women’s Rights. Change my mind about Firearms Amazonas1 reports that the case was registered as an attempted burglary, followed by resistance and death due to police intervention. The Department of Homicide and Protection of Persons (DOHPP) will investigate the incident. Correlation Although the victim in the video is an off-duty officer who was not aware of it, the attacker had no way of knowing. It is important to note that she was armed with a firearm and willing to defend her life. The video would have been very different if she had been an unarmed civilian. The typical Democrat argument against anti-gun policies is that firearms save very few lives. Videos like these continue to show the contrary. Although I could argue that gun right are human rights in general, they are a women’s right. While those who shout loudest “if it saves one life”, while denying us our rights, don’t seem like they feel the same way about self-defense. This country is currently experiencing a severe crime epidemic. Criminals have been encouraged by anti-police sentiment and soft on crime policies. Many are now turning away from the antigun policies of the Democrat party, and buying firearms for their first time. Many of these people are women who are aware that their safety is at stake and are taking responsibility. These videos prove guns save lives, regardless what anti-gun elites would have us believe. We cannot allow them to take away our right to arm ourselves and receive the same protection we provide through our tax dollars. An armed society is not a polite one.
