In March, we covered the release of Auto-Ordnance Trump’s commemorative firearms line (see below). The line was a hit and there were requests for more. Kahr Arms & Auto-Ordnance released the 2023 “Commander In Chief” AR-15. The rifle is based off an earlier version of the rifle and also commemorates the pro Second Amendment 45th president. The rifle is built on billet aluminum upper receivers and lower receivers and features a Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish. This combination gives the “Commander In Chief” an aged look. The entire rifle platform is adorned with engravings honoring President Trump. Just below the Picatinny Rail, the words “Keep American Great”, are emblazoned on the upper right side. On the housing for the forward assist, “In God We Trust”, is also emblazoned. The lower has “45th” above the ambidextrous switch and the Seal of President of the United States covers the magwell. The selector switch and “45th” share the same space on the right. The magwell also features a likeness of President Trump in front the White House. The patriotic theme is completed by “The United States of America”, which runs on both sides of the aluminum free floated M-Lok forearm just below the full-length Picatinny Rail. The grip and forearm are also decorated with an American flag pattern. The front of this magwell has a custom serial starting with “DD”, and an engraving of DJT-AR. The rifle is shoulder-mounted via a Hogue collapsible stock, and a 30-round Magpul PMag is included. The 16-inch nitride coated barrel has a twist of 1:8 and is chambered in 5.56. It also features a Sniper Gray Cerakote with black controls. The rifle also features American walnut furniture for a natural, aesthetically pleasing tone. The Presidential Seal and “President Trump”, along with the 39-inch-long Thompson, are engraved on the right side. The obverse features “Save America 45th”. The words “Trump”, on the right, and “America”, on the left, are deeply embossed in the steel. The result is a bold design that will last the test of time. The wood furniture also features engravings of President Trump, the American flag, the Liberty Bell and the Statue of Liberty. All of these symbols represent the freedom and liberties that America and the Second Amendment represent. The 12.5-pound gun features a 16.5 inch finned barrel and a Cutts compensator. The carbon steel slide, sear and disconnector have also been heat-treated to ensure reliability over thousands of rounds. The low-profile sights are mounted on the slide. They have a blade front, and a rear sight that can be adjusted for windage. The slide also houses a 5-inch barrel. On the right, a laser engraving is of the President’s motto “Save America”, with his signature below. The left side has an engraving of the White House and the phrase “Promises Made Promises Kept”. An American flag can be seen on both sides. The grips, which are also made of wood, feature engravings that correspond to the engravings on the White House. Right, a “Trump 2024 campaign poster” and an image depicting President Trump are displayed. The left side displays the Presidential Seal as well as the “Trump 2024 campaign poster”.
