Bear Creek Arsenal’s all-metal GENES1S enters the full-size handgun marketplace. Bear Creek Arsenal, with the Glock 19 clone marketplace in full swing, said, “Watch this.” And did so in true Bear Creek fashion. The GENES1S is compatible with all aftermarket Glock Gen-3 parts, holsters, and accessories. The Bear Creek Arsenal GENES1S is made entirely in-house at the BCS North Carolina plant. It features a 7075T6 Aluminum construction. This gives it a strong build and a light weight of only 27 ounces empty. The lower is ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable and ergonomic feel in the hand. The grip has a smooth front strap and back strap, as well as aggressive stippling at the sides. The mag release is located on either side of the grip. The flared magwell allows for faster reloads and enhanced defense capabilities. The safety blade trigger is housed in the squared trigger guard, which is wider and more secure. A three-slot Picatinny Rail with three slots is located just forward of the trigger guard. This rail can be used to attach lights or other accessories. The cerakoted Flat Dark Earth slide is mounted atop the frame. It has front and rear cocking serrations. Window cuts are used to reduce weight and show off the barrel’s spiral fluted design. The barrel is a 4.5-inch in diameter and chambered with 9mm stainless steel. This allows for tighter groups and a longer barrel life. The barrel comes with a suppressor and protective cap. Low light conditions enhance target acquisition with metal photoluminescent iron sights. If you prefer an optic, however, the GENES1S comes with a slide that is compatible with the RMR footprint. Two KCI 9mm 17-round magazines are included with the GENES1S. They have been selected for their durability, performance, and reliability. It is compatible with all accessories and parts for the Glock Gen-3. You can customize the experience to your liking. Editor’s note: The GENES1S is currently out of stock.
