Beretta USA continues to modernize their 90 Series pistols with features that have become the standard for premium combat-style handguns. The M9A4 was their latest M9 generation. Now, they are giving the 92 the same treatment. The 92X RDO has been upgraded with a new trigger, grip, and an optics-ready slide. This makes it a great option for those who want modern features but still have the old DA/SA action. The 92X RDO is available in black, unlike the M9A4. Both pistols have an optics-cut slide and 3-slot Picatinny rail. Both pistols have short reset triggers, Vertec style thin grips, and a beveled magazine hole. Both are compatible with Beretta 18-round mags. Both are compatible with Beretta’s new 18-round mags. The available footprint patterns from Beretta include Aimpoint, Trijicon, Burris/Vortex/Docter, Leupold and C-More.The 92X RDO most significantly differs from the M9A4 not because of what it has, but what it doesn’t have–namely a threaded barrel and FDE finish.
