Benito Martinez won his first Bianchi overall title thanks to his perfect score on the Falling Plate stage, 480-48X. Martinez was 12 Xs ahead Joey DeLeon (1520-1553X), who finished second. Sally Talbot was the high lady with 1913-155X. This episode of Shooting USA will air Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 9:00 PM Eastern and Pacific on Outdoor Channel. Shooting USA is also available On Demand via Vimeo.com.Officially, the annual competition is known as the National Championship of NRA Action Pistol. It is also known as the Bianchi Cup, after the trophy that was named after John Bianchi, one of its founders. The match has grown to be the most valuable handgun tournament in the world over the past 30 years. The Bianchi Cup is the most prestigious pistol tournament on the planet. The tournament is one of the most difficult handgun championships in the world due to the precision required for each stage. The tournament is renowned for its high accuracy and reputation as one of the most difficult handgun championships on the planet.

The Bianchi Cup is a combination Speed and Accuracy. Competitors can shoot from either a standing or prone position and must also shoot with strong and weak hands at different stages. Stages can include stationary and moving targets. The Course of Fire is made up of four matches: Practical, Barricade and Moving Target. There are also Falling Plates. Each event requires 48 shots. Each event is worth 480 points. Three of the four events are scored on the NRA tombstone target P1. To shoot a clean 1920, you must hit the inner X-Ring or 10-ring on every shot.
