November 10, 2021 The CMP’s Talladega600 is a combined vintage military, high power, and service rifle match that will take place next week at Talladega Marksmanship Park, Alabama. This event is open to both pistol and rifle enthusiasts. It offers a variety of marksmanship opportunities to competitors from all over the country. Informational clinics such as the GSM Master Instructor Course or a Rifle Marksmanship 101 (with M16EIC Match) offer a learning experience for both novice and advanced marksmen. Talladega 600 is a popular event because participants can play with pistols in between rifle matches. More Guns = More Fun Talladega 600 features.22 Rimfire EIC, Service Pistol EIC and As-Issued 1911 matches. Talladega Marksmanship Park uses advanced electronic target systems. Each firing point on the facility’s 500-acre site is equipped with a KTS electronic target and scoring monitor. This speeds up relays and eliminates competitors having to do pit duty to pull and mark target targets. Each monitor is located beside the shooter on firing line. It allows the competitor to instantly see the shot location and score.
