It is not so great when you have to do it again with a new pistol. Or worse, you get a pistol for which it is difficult to find a molded case. What if you could take a holster that you already love and make it fit your new pistol? This is exactly what the Blackhawk TecGrip FormLok IWB holster does. RELATED STORY Blackhawk now offers a custom-built holster in IWB and OWB options Blackhawk TecGrip FormLok IWB holster. Constructed from moldable Memory-Lok technology the TecGrip can be molded around any handgun. Memory-Lok is a thermoformable plastic material that forms around the handgun upon heating up. The holster is passively (friction) retained once it has been molded to the firearm. The holster can also be used with mounted RDS optics thanks to its low-cut front sight channel channel. To form the holster for your pistol, all you need is a “dunkbag” and a T-handle mold tool. The “dunk bag” heats the holster in hot liquid, while the Thandle molding tool shapes it. The sight channel forming tool is also included. The holster’s interior is lined with 600 denier polyester to prevent friction retention wear and promote long life. The TecGrip holster’s exterior layer is also made of tacky material. The holster is able to cling to your body and fabric, allowing you to carry it securely without the need for a belt clip. A layer of high-density, closed-cell foam material is used to protect the holster from your body. The holster comes in six sizes to fit a variety of pistols, from small-sized autos to full-size ones. You can also remold each of the holsters to fit a handgun of a similar size. The TecGip’s unique design makes it completely ambidextrous. Blackhawk TecGrip FormLok IWB holsters are now available at a MSRP of $54.95. Blackhawk.com has more information.
