BLADE Show 2022: Inside the Coolest Knife Show In The United States

Atlanta, Georgia was host to the largest knife show in America, drawing 11,000+ visitors last month. BLADE Show 2022 features 900 exhibitors from 17 different countries, each displaying some the most innovative knives on the planet. EDC products, bushcraft items, guns, and blunt force trauma weapons are just a few of the many products on display at BLADE Show 2022. You never know what you’ll find there, or who.

Inside BLADE Show 2022

Since I was a knife writer for many years, BLADE Show has been my favorite time of year. It is hosted by BLADE Magazine and is the largest knife show in America. It is held at the Cobb Galleria, Atlanta, Georgia. Originally, the show occupied the main hall, but it has expanded to include the second hall.

The show has 900 exhibitors and more than 11,000 attendees.

The show features everything, from new custom makers to large corporate brands, and everything in-between. This is the place to go if you want to know more about Benchmade, Spyderco and TOPS Knives, Spartan Blades and the newly branded Outlier Knife Co.

I stopped by the Reate Knives booth to check out the Exo Gravity knife. It’s as cool as it looks.

You can also find a custom knife made by a master bladesmith here. Be sure to ask questions before you buy a knife.

Throughout the show, demos of the latest knives, forges, presses and grinders will be available. If you are a fan Of Forged in Fire: Knife or Death you will enjoy the Saturday cutting competition outside.

Demos of all types will be held on the floor at BLADE Show 2022.

Every BLADE Show has a cutting contest, and it is well worth your time.

BLADE Show for me is a chance to meet old friends in the industry. It’s almost like a family. Dark Timber Custom Knives is a knife cult. This is an inside joke. Because I have so many great friends at so great companies, I wish I could include everyone. The list would be too long and I’m sure I would forget someone.

I did manage to get some great knives and other products to cover the story. Keep an eye out.

Unexpected Surprise

Stopping at the TOPS Knives booth was my highlight. President Leo Espinoza gave me a customized version of my knife, called the C.U.T. 4.0. Leo made the knife in his Custom Shop.

It has beautiful file work on its spine and belly. The handle scales are made from a piece of bloodwood that my friends and I rescued from the Amazon Jungle. This knife has a lot personal meaning for me, to put it mildly.

The custom C.U.T. 4.0 was made for me by President Leo Espinoza in the TOPS Knives Custom Shop.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it this year to BLADE Show Atlanta. It’s still available every year. If you live out west, BLADE West will be coming to Salt Lake City, in October.

Attend a BLADE Show if you are even remotely interested in knives. I promise you’ll be grateful.

Nighthawk Customs even had a booth to display some of their incredible pistols.

BLADE Show 2022 was not short of EDC items, such as this keychain knife tool by Lionsteel Knife.

There were many interesting items at BLADE Show 2022 like the Buddy Blade from Fox Knives.
